Grim Silence

Pravat Kumar Padhy, India

Deep silence reigned all over and everything looked standstill. The window curtain swung lazily. Doctor’s murmuring voice sounded me in fragments with broken phrases. Long before the tears dried up, gloomy evening entered the window and the lamp of life gradually darkened.

The long spell of journey, at the end, marched to the short distance of the nearby cemetery.

dead of night--

the owl stares with

dark moon
