the heron waits
till the sun hides behind
the return journey
leaves me alone under
the moonless sky

the grown-up tree
aspiring to bear fruits
in mid-way life
she wonders in her afternoon
diminishing of the brightness

under sacred tree
the old woman laments
the new born
to continue frequenting
another chapter of begging

early dawn
with tender sunrays
I wish
light to reach the huts
of the slum-dwellers

distant waves
the sound creates
my own ocean

ferner Wellenschlag
sein Geräusch
mein eigenes Meer

open ground —
I sit alone as the moon
moves away

offene Ferne —
ich sitz allein da, während der Mond
weiterzieht

Haiku Sequence : Summer

billowing cloud--
summer rain makes
a tentative halt

summer morning--
the old man gathers
early warmth

burning hot--
the village pond
with wrinkles

brief relief
a thin patch of
summer grasses

Indian summer
passers-by gossip
under banyan tree
