green light

every one crosses
also a cat

*****
cherry blossoms—
the scent bridging
the long river

*****
thick clouds--
a gap takes me
to the ocean

*****
tiny pebbles
the softness
of her talk

*****
migratory birds

across the border--
same blue sky

flowing river--

A Short Paragraph on Haiku:

The essence of poetry nestles in the fragrance of flowers, the simple flow of the river, the gentle spread of leaves, and the calmness of the ocean.  Arts and Science dwell together. The beauty of a flower is a divine art, the colour is the physics, the aroma is its chemistry.” I aspire for poetry to usher in a pristine social renaissance and celebrate the present with one and all. The doctrine of ‘haikuism’ will steer building a planet of nature’s paradise, an abode of peace and brotherhoodI am a tiny bird singing songs for the trees in my nest.”

*****

I am grateful to Jean Antonini, Gilles Fabre for selecting my six haiku for the bilingual anthology, “Double Horizon, 2025” I am indebted to the judges : Jean Antonini, Gilles Fabre, Amanda Bell, Jean-Hugues Chuix and Françoise Saint Pierre . Congratulations all poets honoured by The Association Francophone de Haïku and the journals l'estran and seashores for their haiku.

Author’s Note: A set of three monoku is arranged together in parallel sequence with a distinct gap in between. Both the normal and italicized fragments present complementary images and embody an objective realism for readers to explore.
