shadows touch each other
                                                    falling leaves
sparrows in and out

                                                   her daydream

 

Author’s Note: A set of three monoku is arranged together in parallel sequence with a distinct gap in between. Both the normal and italicized fragments present complementary images and embody an objective realism for readers to explore.
